The Complete apparatus consists one each of small sand pouring cylinder, 3liter Capacity, Fitted with conical funnel and shutter. Cylinder Calibrating Container, Internal dia10cm and internal depth 15cm fitted with flange, metal tray.
Sand replacement method is used to determine in-situ soil density. It consists of a metal cylinder with a cone and shutter used to measure compacted soil volume.
The Sand Replacement Test Set is used for the determination of the degree of compaction on site. The Complete set consists of a pouring cylinder, calibration container and tray. The sand pouring cylinder is made of cast aluminum and precisely machined; the calibration container and tray are made of plated sheet steel.
